What Is a Blog? Blogs (short for web logs or weblogs) started out as personal diaries that people kept on the Internet, but, as you’ve probably noticed, they’re so much more than that now. Instead, they’re almost all created with a specific niche/industry in mind, and they read a lot more like online magazines and guides than diaries.
